Als de Man Van staal plotseling een fatale ziekte oploopt, moet hij op zoek naar een geneesmiddel terwijl hij zich voorbereidt op z'n laatste dagen. Maar voordat zijn dreigende lot hem fataal wordt, moet hij nog een finale confrontatie aangaan met zijn grootste vijand, Lex Luthor, die koste wat kost eindelijk 's werelds grootste superheld wil verslaan.
